How it works
One badge. One scan. All the info.
What is it for?
Today our badges are designed first for one job: helping pets find their way home.
For your pets
Dogs, cats, exotic pets. Name, breed, microchip, vet contact, medical alerts and a lost-pet message — all on a single tag attached to the collar.
1. Choose your badge
Anodized aluminum badge, laser-engraved. Resistant to weather, impacts and time. Each badge carries a unique, tamper-proof QR code.
2. Scan the QR code
Anyone can scan the badge with a smartphone. The associated web page appears instantly — no app to install.
3. Personalise the page
Sign up to claim your badge. Fill in useful info about your pet or your belongings: contact details, allergies, microchip number, description…
4. Stay in control
You choose what's publicly visible. If lost or stolen, activate alert mode — your contact info is shown to anyone who scans the badge.
What does someone see when they scan your badge?
You decide. Four typical situations:
Normal mode
A stranger sees only what you have made public — by default, nothing personal. The platform never asks the scanner to log in or share any data just to read the page.
Lost or stolen mode
You enable this mode from your account. The scanner sees an alert banner and the contact you have chosen — a dedicated email, a phone number, or a simple message. You never have to expose your real personal details.
When you are logged in
You see and edit every field, change visibility per section, switch modes and review the scan history of your badge.
Trusted people
You can invite relatives or trusted helpers to sign up for free. They receive useful notifications, can share messages, and help coordinate a pet, object, or place when several people look after it.
Frequently asked questions
- Does the badge need a battery?
- No. It's a QR code laser-engraved on metal — no electronics, no battery, no maintenance.
- What if the badge is scratched?
- Laser engraving withstands normal scratches. The QR code uses maximum error correction (30%): even partially damaged, it remains readable.
- Is my data protected?
- Only the authenticated owner can edit information. You control the visibility of each field.
- What happens if I lose my pet or my item?
- You can enable "lost" mode to show a contact message if your pet or item is lost or stolen. You can also allow trusted relatives to access the badge, or choose to keep your contact details always visible so someone can always reach you.
- What does a stranger see when they scan my badge?
- By default, nothing personal — only what you have chosen to publish. Visibility is controlled section by section. The scanner is never asked to identify themselves to read the page.
- How can someone reach me without seeing my real contact details?
- Two options. (1) You can enable public messages on your badge: anyone can leave a message that you receive in your dashboard. (2) In lost mode, you choose what is displayed — a dedicated email, a one-off phone number, or a simple message. You never have to expose your personal details if you don't want to.
- Where is my data stored, and what if I want to leave?
- Data is stored in France on OVH servers and processed under GDPR rules. From your account you can export your badges and activity history as CSV at any time, and schedule account deletion: a 30-day grace period lets you cancel before final removal.
- Can a QR code be copied or counterfeited?
- Each badge embeds a unique cryptographic signature tied to that exact serial number. The server checks the signature on every scan; a copied or forged QR code is rejected. If a badge is lost or stolen, you can revoke it from your account so it stops working immediately.
